Company History

PALTEK was founded by Tadahito Takahashi in 1982, as an importer and distributor of innovative ICs and softwares. Originally offering MMI PAL, PALTEK introduced CMOS PLDs to the Japanese market. It has built its business with Altera high-density EPLDs and development systems, and continues to leverage its technical expertise to launch new products and services. Remarkable for a new entrant into the electronics distribution industry, PALTEK has been honored with a directorship in the Distributor's Association of Foreign Semiconductors, and chairs the Trade Mission Committee.

1984	October	Relocation of headquarters to Nanpeidai (Tokyo, Japan)
1985	June	Signed a distribution agreement with Altera Corporation (California, USA)
1986	September	Relocation of headquarters to Yoga (Tokyo, Japan)
1987	February	Established business relationship with SONY Corporation
1987	October	Established business relationship with NEC Corporation
1990	November	Relocation of headquarters to Kami-Yoga (Tokyo, Japan)
1992	November	Relocation of headquarters to Azamino (Yokohama, Japan)
1994	April	Opened Osaka Branch office (Osaka, Japan)
1998	July	Initial Public Offering of stocks. Increase of Capital to 1,316,695,000 yen
1998	October	Investment in Alpha Electronics, Inc. (Osaka, Japan)
2000	May	Relocation of Osaka office to Suita(Osaka,Japan)
	June	Acquisition of Spinnaker Systems (Tokyo)
2002	March	Established Alpha Electron HK in HK with the joint investment of Alpha Electronics,Inc
	September	Alpha Electronics,Inc acquired ISO9001
2003	October	Alpha Electronics established the office in Tokyo
	November	Alpha Electronics acquired ISO14001
	December	Acquired ISO14001
2004	October	Opened Shanghai office in Shanghai, China, to collect information for business development in China
	December	Obtained the Certification of Information Security Management System (ISMS)
	December	Cancelled over-the-counter on Japan Securities Dealers Association, and got listed on JASDAQ Securities Exchange. Inc.
2005	November	Distribution Agreement with Altera to be terminated at March 2006
2006	January	Signed a distribution agreement with Xilinx, Inc. (California, USA)
